Remains of the Day

Digital Impressions of the Urban Landscape

Remains of the Day series is a romantic notion of the urban landscape. It challenges the realistic idea of topography by injecting new energy, purpose and meaning into their form through digital photography and computer manipulation. My story begins with random objects and architectural remnants that seduce with their amorphous wonder and inspire rebirth and poetic connection. This unpredictable process permits me to breakaway from the regiment of traditional design allowing each form to find meaning with each other. Like a film director, I make clips of my photos and drawings. As they begin to take on a new persona the story and picture unfolds.
